Not every birth ends with celebration. Sometimes it ends with silence. With unanswered questions. With a heaviness you can’t quite name.
If you’re in Livonia or anywhere in Southeast Michigan and carrying pieces of a birth that felt traumatic, rushed, frightening, or simply not what you expected — I want you to hear this:
You are not dramatic. You are not ungrateful. And you are not alone.
Sometimes birth leaves a piece of you behind. And sometimes that piece feels like confidence. Or trust. Or strength. But here’s what I’ve seen, over and over again — that piece is not gone. It’s waiting.

Why Processing Matters
Research shows that unresolved birth trauma can impact postpartum mental health, future pregnancies, and even how we see ourselves as mothers. But statistics only tell part of the story.
What I’ve witnessed in families across Southeast Michigan is this: When women are given space to process their birth — without shame, without pressure — something begins to soften. Fear loosens its grip. Clarity replaces confusion. Condemnation lifts.
Healing doesn’t start with pretending it wasn’t hard. It starts with being heard.
The Intimacy of Redeeming Birth
The Redeeming Birth Workshop is intentionally small. Intimate. Safe. It was created for women who:
Felt unheard or dismissed
Experienced an unexpected cesarean
Carry fear into a new pregnancy
Want to understand what happened — without spiraling in blame
This is not a workshop about anger. It is about restoration.
We gently explore:
What physiologic birth looks like
How to build a collaborative care team in Southeast Michigan
Movement strategies that create space and confidence
Advocacy rooted in strength, not fear
But more than content — it’s connection. You sit with other women who nod in understanding. Who knows that look. Who felt it too.
And slowly, the narrative shifts.

What Was Left Behind Comes Back Stronger
That part of you that felt shaken? She’s still there. In fact, she’s wiser now. More informed. More grounded.
The Redeeming Birth Workshop is not about rewriting the past. It’s about stepping into the future with clarity and courage.
If your previous birth left you feeling small, unseen, or afraid — this space was created for you.
You don’t have to carry it alone. And you don’t have to walk into your next chapter afraid. Redemption doesn’t erase what happened. It transforms how you move forward.
And you are capable of that kind of strength.
The Journey to Healing
Healing is a journey, not a destination. It requires patience and self-compassion. As you navigate this path, remember that it’s okay to seek support. Embrace the process, and allow yourself to feel all the emotions that arise.
Finding Community
Connecting with others who share similar experiences can be incredibly healing. In the Redeeming Birth Workshop, you’ll find a community of women who understand your journey. Sharing your story can lighten the load and foster a sense of belonging.
Tools for Empowerment
In addition to emotional support, the workshop offers practical tools. You’ll learn techniques to advocate for yourself in future pregnancies. You’ll discover how to communicate your needs effectively with healthcare providers. These skills can empower you to reclaim your birth experience.
Moving Forward with Confidence
As you process your birth experience, you’ll begin to rebuild your confidence. You’ll learn to trust your body and your instincts. This newfound strength will serve you well as you approach future pregnancies and parenting.
